What is Slip-On Flanges?

The slip-on flange may be attached to the end of a piece of pipe or to one or more ends of a pipe fitting. The slip-on flange is positioned so the inserted end of the pipe or fitting is set back or short of the flange face by the thickness of the pipe wall plus 1/8 of an inch.

Where Slip-on Flanges are use?

Slip-on flanges is preferred by some contractors over the Weld-neck because of the lower initial cost. However, this may be offset by the added cost of the two fillet welds required for proper installation.

What is Blind Flanges?

A blind flange looks like a plate with bolts holes around. There is no inner hole on the blind flange comparing to other type of flanges. The blind flange is not connected with any pipe or vessel. The blind flange could be supplied with flat face (FF), raised face (RF) or ring joint face (RIT).

Where blind flanges are use?

The blind flange is used to close the end of a vessel or piping system. Blind flange also be used for pressure testing for prevent the liquid on air flow.

What is Plate Flanges?

The plate flange has a similar shape with slip-on flange, and similar dimensions too. However, plate flanges are not widely used in high pressure conditions, but it is generally suitable for piping system where the assembly and disassembly of the pipeline is frequent.

Plate flanges are most widely used in fuel and water pipelines, where two flange plates are bolted together with a gasket between them

What is lap joint flanges?

A lap joint flange (loose flange) consist two parts, the backing flange and the stud end, the stub end will be butt welded to the pipe and the lap joint flange will be slip around the stub end. The lap joint flange is not connected to the pipe and the stub end directly, so it could be rotated.

Where lap joint flanges are use?

What is Weld Neck Flange?

Weld neck flanges are particularly designed by using the best quality are ideal for high pressure and cold & hot temperature applications. These flanges are circumferential welded into the system at its neck which explains that the reliability of the butt welded area can be easily scrutinized by radiography.

Where it is use?

Weld neck pipe flanges are installed by welding the pipe to the neck of the flange. Weld necks are often used for high pressure applications. The inside diameter of this attachment is machined to match the inside diameter of the pipe

What is Threaded Flange?

Threaded pipe flanges are the special type of flanges which can be attached to the pipe without welding. Threaded flanges are threaded in the bore which matches an external thread on the pipe.

Where Threaded Flanges are use?

It is used where small diameter and high pressure is required. These flanges are available in Mild Steel.

What is Step Flange?

Step flanges are the special type of flanges which can be attached to the pipe. With the use of step. In step flangs there is never raised face (RF). There will be always flat face(FF) in step flange.

Step in the flange can be done in all tables of flanges and as per customer requirement.
